The Sage Method: Somatic Fascia Flow

A practical approach to working with fascia and nervous system regulation that helps therapists address chronic tension patterns while protecting their own bodies.

The Sage Method Somatic Fascia Flow is a 16 CE hour in person continuing education course approved by the NCBTMB and approved by the Florida and Louisiana Boards of Massage Therapy.

The Sage Method Somatic Fascia Flow is a 16 CE hour in person continuing education course for massage therapists that explores a whole-body approach to bodywork, bridging the science of fascia and nervous system regulation with the hands on art of therapeutic touch. We explore current understanding around fascia, interoception, and nervous system regulation and translate those ideas into practical techniques therapists can bring directly into their sessions right away. At the heart of the work is the understanding that lasting change in the body rarely comes from brute force.

Through Swedish myofascial techniques, slow intentional engagement, and gentle rhythmic movement, therapists learn how to work with the fascial system and nervous system together in ways that support meaningful change for clients while also being sustainable for the therapist’s body.

Therapists learn how to build flowing sessions that integrate Swedish myofascial techniques, gentle traction, and regulating rhythm in ways that support the fascial system and the nervous system together. With intentionally limited class sizes, participants receive close guidance as they refine their touch and explore how these approaches translate naturally into session flow.

The course includes dedicated work with the abdomen, face, and scalp, including intraoral buccal myofascial techniques for addressing deeper fascial structures of the jaw and face. These areas are frequently under addressed in massage training, yet they can meaningfully influence jaw tension, breath patterns, nervous system regulation, and the broader tension patterns that show up throughout the body.

Students leave the course with a clear understanding of the science behind the work and practical techniques they can confidently integrate into their sessions right away. Just as importantly, they leave with a deeper understanding of how tension patterns organize in the body and how thoughtful pacing, rhythm, and contact can support meaningful change. The result is work that can help address chronic muscle tension and persistent pain patterns while remaining sustainable for the therapist’s body over the long term.

Participants learn practical tools, clear strategies, and a new way of thinking about their work that they can begin using with clients immediately. Most therapists begin using elements of this work with their clients immediately after the course.

When the nervous system feels supported, the body can release tension that force alone cannot change.

Course Registration and Cancellation Policy

Enrollment secures a limited seat in this in person continuing education course. Continuing education hours are awarded upon successful completion of the full course. Because class sizes are intentionally small and space is reserved in advance, the following policy applies to all registrations.

Cancellations made 30 days or more before the course date will receive a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee.

Cancellations made within 30 days of the course are eligible for a 75 % refund.

Cancellations made within 14 days of the course are non-refundable. Tuition may be applied toward another course within one year, provided space is available.

If Rebekah Sweet Reiland, LMT must cancel or reschedule a course, every effort will be made to move the class to a new date. Participants who are unable to attend the rescheduled course will receive a full refund.

Thank you for helping support a respectful learning environment for both students and instructor.
